The Muttaburrasaurus and the Mamenchisaurus

I am a Muttaburrasaurus.  One day I was sleeping  and I woke up and gave a big yawn and stretch.  I climbed up to get some leaves from the tree.  There were spider eggs on the tree and I wiped them off with my arms in a circle pattern.

I saw a fly and I ate him, and it was yum, but I preferred the leaves. I looked up for danger and sniffed, arching my head high.  I saw something - it was a sharp tooth,  a stegosauras and a long neck. They were looking in a mail box.  In the mail box there were pictures of dinosaurs.  I ran and ran and ran.  I raced for the mailman so other dinosaurs would not see the pictures. A flyer came out and saw the mail.  The flyer was flying and he put the mail into the mailbox.  It is a mailman flyer.  They all had rocks to eat.

The End

A short story by Taryn, aged 4 as interpreted by her mum.

A sharp tooth is a T-Rex.  A long neck is a Mamenchisaurus, the animal with the longest neck of all time.  A flyer flaps his wings. He was also known as a Preondactylas.  He was only small, as small as a pigeon!.

Here is a picture of a Mamenchisaurus
